Smart Borders
Together with Inverid partners Entrust and iProov, Eurostar implemented SmartCheck, a revolutionary system at the UK border in St Pancras station London that enables pre-registration, biometric identity checks, and the creation of a Digital Travel Credential through identity document chip reading. SmartCheck combines the check-in and UK border exit process into one seamless experience wherein a passenger pre-registers their personal information with ReadID and walks past a smart podium in the station. Using facial recognition, this podium completes the check in process and the UK border exit process thanks to the Digital Travel Credential created from the comfort of the passenger's couch.
Secure Delivery
Inverid partner AMP Group utilises NFC-based for their hybrid identity verification use case. AMP handles the secure delivery of high-value materials, including medicines, medical samples, valuable electronics, and confidential identity documents. To ensure that the delivery reaches the intended recipient, AMP's customers can choose to remotely verify the receiver's identity beforehand or on the doorstep with the AMP employee. ReadID is used in both instances, with facial biometric verification carried out by iProov remotely and by the AMP employee face-to-face. This ensures AMP's valuable cargo is given to the correct person in a timely manner and that the company is compliant with EIDAS High security standards.
