“Catalysts are established disruptors, innovators, and agents of acceleration. With high proficiency in certain areas of assessment” – The Prism Project
Inverid is recognised within the Identity Verification ‘beam,’ along with other leading vendors for the unique capabilities of our remote NFC-based identity verification solution ReadID. By leveraging the NFC capabilities of modern mobile devices, ReadID allows individuals to authenticate their identity documents—such as passports and ID cards—remotely, without the need for physical presence.
This approach not only increases efficiency but also significantly reduces operational burdens for sectors like travel and hospitality, where customer experience and operational speed are paramount.
One of the key successes highlighted in the report is Inverid’s involvement in the European Commission’s Entry/Exit System (EES) pilot. Our ReadID technology played a pivotal role in the pilot, streamlining the pre-registration process for travellers. By enabling fast and secure identity verification, ReadID helped maintain the highest security while simplifying compliance with regulatory requirements. This pilot showcased the potential of ReadID to transform border management processes, making them more efficient and user-friendly without compromising security. We hope to see remote identity verification technologies further embraced in future pilots and schemes for the Entry/Exit System across EU member states.
This delivery builds on the success of ReadID in other Travel and Hospitality related projects including the EU Settlement Scheme (EUSS) for the UK Government and the support for the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) delivery.
As a Catalyst, Inverid continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in identity verification. Our mission is to create seamless, secure, and scalable solutions for verifying identities in an increasingly digital world. Recognition from The Biometric Digital Identity Travel & Hospitality Prism Report affirms the growing use case for NFC-based identity verification across a wide variety of travel related use cases.
We look forward to building on this momentum and driving further uptake of NFC-based identity verification. With identity verification playing an ever-more critical role in ensuring security and trust in a wide variety of sectors, Inverid is dedicated to staying at the forefront of this rapidly evolving space.
